The rental itself was a good deal, but the management really bad. I've been denied the purchase of a comprehensive insurance at the desk and reassured that one was already comprised in the rent (clear conversation, no miscommunication, my bad I didn't check the documents); a problem occurred and returning the car I've been told again by the staff member that I'd been refunded contacting the head quarter, but then they said that wan not true and I lost my money.
Rented a car from here in Rhodes. Car was very nice, only a few years old. Reliable and drove very well. More or less like driving a brand new car. Decent price too. Make sure to get fully comp insurance.
I was happy with the car and service. We arrived at night for the pick up arranged at 1am. The lady from the car rental came to meet us. Because they ran out of mini cars I booked, they gave me a bigger car for no additional cost. Return was also late at 9pm and was as smooth as you would wish at this late although still busy time. The car was very good, diesel automatic Ford CMAX. Smooth in driving, good condition.
SCAM!! The staff lied to my mum at the pick-up and told her that we did not have coverage booked in order to get a commission of the sold coverage. He kept saying it and threatened that if something were to happen, we had no insurance, and we had to potentially oay thousands of pounds, so she paid an additional €225. After the car was picked up and she told me, "I contacted our car rental provider DiscoverCars to check, and they confirmed that full coverage was included." I knew that, of course, but I wanted to check. Also, the pick-up voucher that I gave my mum had it very clearly on it, which she handed to Granata when she asked for the car. But he just kept insisting that we didn't have coverage, and since he was supposed to be having our best interest at heart, my mum trusted and believed him. He clearly sold the insurance for commission purposes. I then tried calling AbbyCars for 4 days, I was hung up on, told to call the next day, etc. I eventually spoke to the man, who I am not allowed to name, who told me he would talk to the manager to get a refund issued when we returned the car. When we dropped the car off, the guy said the swore at us and called us names and said there won't be a refund.STAY AWAY
Bad experience when returning car. Didn't get our deposit back. Lost nearly 400 extra euros. Lady in office argued with us nearly 45 minutes and finaly said that this money, what was deposited from us and promised to refund when car is okey is instead a full insurance and no money back.
