It was rarelly smooth car rental experience: there was a guy with EXER sign at the exit, who showed the path to where the bus was leaving from. (I could have found it from the instructions on the voucher either). The bus came in 10-15min as expected, ride was 3min. Paperwork was done in 10min. The car was not very new and had many small scratches(see pictures), but that's alright with me as long as you are not beeing charged for existing defects. And in this case, everything was smooth: EXER representative took video and marked major defects on the scheme. Return also was fast and smooth with minibus to the airport within 10-15min. The deposit was released quite fast, less then a week as long as I remember.
never again. an old car. dirty and full of accident marks on the bodywork. not roadworthy in the rain. Not roadworthy in the rain. i don't know if there is such a thing as an MOT in Greece. but what is certain is that this car would never have passed the MOT. The clutch was almost at the end of its service life and the windscreen wipers were unusable.
-1 wrong car. -1 car full with dents and scratches. First of all, we booked a Toyota which looked new in the ad. At the station, they did not have a single Toyota, the cars were all Suzuki, Hyundai etc. This car was not like new but more like 9-12 years old. It had scratches and dents on all sides. The indicator on the right side was broken. But we accepted it because the price was the same. Know that once you get to the airport you may have to wait 10-20 minutes for a shuttle to the rental office. Its not a problem, but good to know. Aside from what I just mentioned, everything went good. The car never let us down, had solid airconditioning. We had the Suzuki Celerion. To open the gas tank we had to search a few minutes. It is on the car floor. The lady with big brown eyes and the large smile was very, very good. She was professional and kind and available to any concern or question that I had. The shuttle staff also super friendly! Staff service 10/10!
Met outside the Rhodes airport terminal by very nice young man holding an EXER sign, he walked us up to the Shuttle stop. We were quickly collected by another EXER Employee in a shuttle mini bus to take us to the EXER facility, which happened to be the young man's Father, also very helpful. Shuttle had A/C and only took 5 minutes to get to the EXER facility. Once there we were greeted inside by 2 x desk staff both very helpful and assistive, NO hard sell for any further NOT necessary Insurance, as we already had CDW platinum extended cover in place. Usual Passports checked and usual €800 Euros blocked on credit card, NO money taken. Paperwork completed, We were shown out to our car a little somewhat beaten up Suzuki Celerio. We took the usual All over inside and out photos, checked mileage, fuel and tyres, then were on our merry way with Google Maps. Fuel policy was FULL at collection and return. The car must had been properly fuelled as we had driven almost full length of the island before the gauge came off full :-) We had many happy miles traveling around the island in our Suzuki, she never skipped a beat. Very good mpg was achieved and fuel price wasn't bad either only used 3/4 tank, unleaded was €1.80 per litre at time of travel. When vehicle was returned, fuel FULL, we again took full inside and out photos, just incase, EXER also checked the vehicle inside and out, we signed off the paperwork, left happy, no drama's. Blocked credit card €800 Euro's was unblocked and released within 2 days. WELL DONE EXER ! for a very pleasant rental experience, even if the outside condition of our vehicle did blend in with the locals :-) Many thanks again, EFCHARISTO.
In general I'm satisfied with the service. Car had 130k km on speedometer, was a bit older and had wear signs, but everything went smoothly throughout renting period. No issues with check-in and check-out at all. Transfer from and to airport was flawless. Stuff was very friendly, explained everything and was very helpful.
