Also worth noting that exceptional service they strive for obviously translates all the way through their processes. See attached images of the health and safety kit they supplied.It's important to clarify that they will just write whatever they feel is necessary to justify their substandard service.And I'm not sure which planet a Nissan micra is an upgrade from any category. . . . But I'm sure the owner will clarify what a lesser category vehicle is.P.s thanks for the complementary upgrade to a Nissan micra from the Ford Fiesta or similar I guess. . . .Original post:Not a great experience to be honest. I expected more from Europcar, but suspect its a franchise and poorly run at that. However the lady I dealt with was friendly and just doing her job. Albeit borderline scamming.Everything is an add on, despite paying for options already. Paid for a certain type of vehicle and ended up with a smaller car. Despite the lady trying to convince me that a Nissan micra is larger than a fiesta. I've in hind sight read reviews of this place and honestly wish I hadn't bothered hiring with them.I recommend hiring with another Company.I'll update you when they inevitably try to rip me off on return.
We were delighted with the quick service, the cost and with the car! The staff were also understanding and very professional! I highly recommend and definitely use Euroocar again!
Would’ve given 5* but felt the location was a bit misleading - it’s not at the airport, but nearby - you have to get their minibus to take you. We’ve been scammed in the past by rentals in Europe so try to have full insurance if we can. Even though Europcar were upfront about the admin cost for any damage (€31), it’s a little disappointing when in Italy they don’t charge admin costs. It’s more of a “Oh, fully insured - off you go then” attitude.Having said that - everyone was very friendly and cheerful and accommodated our change of plans easily.We rented 2 cars from them. They did try to charge my son a cleaning cost though! Not cool. The car was NOT excessively dirty as it had only been used for 5 days.
Absolutely disappointing experience. After incredibly amazing holiday we were charged £85 for plastic wheel cover which has been lost during driving on main road. We have proved that all other covers could be easily removed by 2 years old child using one finger, as they were not secured with any plastic strap or something else. Also the other client with the same car had exactly the same problem on that day, and they still blamed us customers for lost parts attached on clips to the wheels moving 80km/hour... Pathetic experience. I also would like to add that they offered to charge 70 euro in the office, and finally charged £85 from the deposit, regardless a full protection 👎Further to the reply below, I understand that you have charged so many clients hiring grey fiat 500 for lost plastic wheel cover in the middle of August, that you are unable to find me in your records. This is pathetic... Silence would be a better option in these circumstances.
In the meanitem Europcar added their ridiculous, standard response whenever they run this scam. OK:Take a look at the image provided and the alleged "damage". I am renting cars for 25 years and never experienced something like this before. Pay attention if it takes more than 15 minutes to get your car. It is the setup for a scam but I did not know it then.When returning the car:The guy taking back the car checked 15 minutes until he finally found something. Having a plane to catch I am forced (blackmailed) to sign and pay.Stay away from Europcar Rhodes. Rip off. BTW scroll down. There are more damages exactly like mine, it is even the same spot. Check other reviews, there are at least 10 cases like mine with the exact same alleged damage. There is a pattern here.Damage 155 Euro 💶. They will not fix it but probably repeat this on each return. 50 returns = 7500 Euro 💶.Now I paid attention that this is not done to all cars. Some other people returned a car within a minute (do not take the Ford Puma).
