Excellent view and the road there is two lanes with plenty of space for both buses and cars to pass, although quite bendy. We only came for the view, but the religious aspect of the place was easy to feel.4/5 due to lack of a public toilet at the parking area.
Wonderful slightly challenging walk from the coast before breakfast however it's well worth it.Stunning views fauna and flora flocks of peacock dot the route upon arrival met with a friend smile at the tea and souvenir shop and very informative chatAlso Saw my first monkSuch a tranquil and beautiful place I could have spent the entire day dreaming about the things that must have occurred here❤️
A big cross on top of a very large hill.We drove up there around 5pm and it was virtually empty. Parking is free. There are peacocks everywhere which is cool as well as some goats just wandering around. The views are amazing. You can see Turkey, Symi, the airport and for miles in every direction. It’s a nice, free thing to do if you’ve got an hour or so to kill and have a car/scooter to get you up there.
Great place to see the sunset! Free to park at the top and then there’s a short walk (not steep at all) to the cross. We went on a Sunday and there were a couple of wedding shoots going on but it really wasn’t busy overall! Lots of peacocks roaming about too!
Beautiful drive up to this place. Lovely woodland area when you get there full of peacocks 🦚 and the view from the cross was amazing. You can clearly see the planes landing at Rhodes Airport from the top of the cross. There is some kind of church you can pay to go and look at but we didn't bother. There's plenty of car parking spaces and there's a little cafe with refreshments and souvenirs.
