This hotel is not how it’s advertised online- the social media they put up is complete rubbish and fake. How it’s even got 5 stars?! I’ll never know. Our experience started off into the hotel with the smell of smoke and a unbelievably rude bags Porter who didn’t want to help us at all. We were escorted to our room.. got in and instantly shocked at what they’d given us as it wasn’t what we had paid for.. still a foul smell sea view which was clearly not a sea view and two single beds pushed together!! I went down to reception.. spoke with manager I didn’t want a argument I just was in a bit of shock as it wasn’t what we expected. She gave us a room which was in all fairness one of the better rooms I think compared to what a lot of other guests we’d spoke to had, we were grateful but we were expected to pay €25 euro for each night and we were staying 12. Room was hardly the biggest issue.. let me tell you when I say the smell of this hotel in general is absolutely disgusting, reception area and the calypso bar inside stink of smoke pool bar and all around the pool area smells like drainage/sewer basically poo which you cannot avoid and will smell everyday of your holiday it is VILE. Food was very average it is very Samey but I didn’t expect anything amazing.. thing you have to be really careful is the meat/fish.. were two occasions where I put it on my plate to eat and it was underdone/ pink which made the options even more limited. The staff, I could complain about most of them but to be honest staffing is all down to management and all the staff there are clearly overworked which makes them so miserable which is just not what you want to see going away on holiday. Overall just do not expect 5 stars and do listen to the bad reviews because I’d agree with every single one of them.
The Royal Lindos Hotel is certainly not what it's advertised as. The only place stinks of sewage half of the time especially around the pools. The main staff aren't the friendliest, although most the cleaners and kitchen staff are fantastic. The food is pretty much the same every day. The location is a 30 minute walk away from the nearest town (not Lindos) the rooms are in need of some major TLC. We had a room with shared private pool, in the pictures it looked like with 1 or 2 other rooms not 10 like we had, and our side NEVER saw the sun. The private beach is not great and for the royal Lindos you share the lowest of the low sunbeds with anyone where the other hotels in the area have their designated ones. Also nothing is well advertised at all. If you want to find out anything you have to find a nice staff member to tell you where things are. I would love to go back to Rhodes but it would never be back at this hotel. Most couples we spoke to on our holiday felt the same as us. This was certainly not value for money
Three people made our visitDespina, George and Sergio at the Lindos Royal hotel. Being the end of season it isn’t easy to keep positive all three made our time lovely. The extra touches remembering our drinks, our preferences very lucky to have these three staff members. The rest was lack lustre. The rest of the team wanted to finish, the property is outdated, sewage smells linger in some pool and bar areas. The last few days we felt like an inconvenience. We didn’t let this get to us and had a great holiday. Overall I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
Lush location is very nice food, but the same thing over and over gets a bit boring. The hotel is fairly big with lots of bars, swimming pools and some small slides. Staff are all mostly nice and there is entertainment most nights. The thing that really lets it down is the swimming pools are freezing 🥶
Amazing hotel. Has rooms with sunbeds outside and with entrance to a shared pool. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great food in all inclusive, a lot of choices for every meal + 3 thematic restaurants. Gorgeous beach with sunbeds (with no extra charge).
