Reserved a Fiat Panda. On collection was given a rather 'tiered' looking Old Nissan Micra. Vehicle had obviously seen better days! Once Back in uk I was able to Look up vehicle age and found it to be 9+ years old.However staff were very polite and helpful !
I picked up the car at Lindos Blue hotel, where they have a small office. Nice, new clean car. Friendly staff gave me tips on local parking and other driving related topics. I highly recommend. Rip, Considering renting a diesel if you plan a lot of driving on local uphill roads.
Booked a 4 hour private tour to see the seven springs and butterfly valley (mostly booked for butterfly valley) was told all in would be roughly 5 hours with the driving (so to me that gives the impression the actual tour parts are 4 hours in total). Started off great set off at 10am got to seven springs for 10.30. I asked our driver how long he recommended we needed he said it was our 4 hours so up to me. We spent 1 hour 20 minutes here as we wanted more time at the valley and then the drivers attitude changed said we didn't have much time left for butterfly valley but it was only 11.45. Got to butterfly valley for 12.20 was dropped off at the top and told to meet him at the bottom for 12.45 we were so upset as we didn't see the butterflies we had to quickly climb down the valley so had to watch our step the whole way. We arrived back in pefkos for 13.30 we felt so ripped off. We spent 260 Euro for a 4 hour trip and we were back in 3 hours 30 minutes. We only got a total of 1 hour 40 minutes in total on the tours we wish we stuck to our original idea of booking taxis and spending the day there but we ended up not getting to go do that as we had spent all that money and didn't see the point in going in to complain as that felt awkward but I wouldn't book again. The only reason I can guess this happened to us is the driver got urgent news but in that case he could of atleast told us or dropped us off at the valley and sent another driver to collect us perhaps? Or maybe give customers a set time frame so they don't use up all their time in the first location.
