Overpriced. This is not really a 5 star hotel, more like 3 star one, specialized on package all-inclusive tours. No room service. Only one restaurant where we were not allowed to take away the food we did not finish. Food is underwhelming. We ended up eating out or ordering delivery every day.Cold pools: this defeats the purpose of having 5 pools in a hotel if 4 of them are too cold to use.Kid club works only few hours per day, we were not able to use it due to kids sleeping schedule.Try something else.
I really dont understand why the hotel claimed to be 4-5 star, it is 4-5 stars only from the price. It does not have room service at once; only 2 restaurants, 1 buffet and 1 by menu (you can not get take away from this one, even the food you don’t finish - you can not take it, manager’s decision), 1 pool bar and 1 lobby bar with simple low quality all inclusive drinks (if you want something nicer - they don’t have it). The only good thing they have is kids facilities at the pool, kids playground is also good. That is it.
Newly renovated hotel. This is my fair and balanced review:We had a double room. It’s located right at the ocean with a beach and great views of the local area (although the beach is with pebbles and not so much sand). The rooms were very comfy and large enough. Bathrooms were nice, little functional kitchen although there are not many opportunities to cook yourself. Beds were fine and firm. Only drawback was, that there was no elevator or ramp to the 2nd floor. The pools were sufficiently large. One for babies/toddlers, one for larger kids (70 cm +) and a deep pool and also indoor pools. A spa, cold bath, warm bath and sauna had been a nice addition but were not there. The food was good although don’t expect it to be healthy - there were more cakes than vegetables. Generally a large variety of foods. Even vegetarians would be able to become full. There were at least three restaurants with a variety of dishes (not gourmet or Michelin restaurants but they are also not very expensive, so for the price absolutely fine). There were some sport facilities - mini golf, football, basketball and tennis. There could have been more trees eg at the mini golf area, as there was not sufficient shadow. The hotel was roomie enough and all buildings clean and maintained well. There are activities for the children and some shows and events some of the evenings. There could have been some more indoor activities also - there was a game room but it is a coin drainage. There is a playground for the children which can be accessed in the evenings. It is not covered so it’s to hot during the day. There is a gym with a few dumbbells and barbells, some machines and cardio machines. Fine, not enough for an athlete but fine for 95-99 %.There is a little kiosk with water, toys and beverages. It also sells fake Pokémon cards so be warned.Only thing that was not possible to buy was fresh fruit. The is also a small marked around the corner of the complex, but they did not sellfresh food which is puzzling as Rhodes produces fruits and vegetables. All in all we were very happy with our stay. Our main suggestion for the hotel would be to add some local produced foods and advertise with it (a very popular trend i Denmark - both to expose the local foods and to show interest in the health of one’s guests). But we would recommend the hotel to others.
Swimming shoes are important at hotel beach. Rental car is a must if you want to move around the Island flexibly.
Beautiful hotel and amenities.Great breakfast buffet.A bit far away from everything else though.
