Nice easy hike in beautiful nature. You can also try walking in the 180m tunnel that leads to the lake. Better with water shoes. Or just hike on the path above it. On the other side of the hills you can hike to a single water spring but not much water there. There is also a rope on that path that can take you up on a open area with Olive trees. Nothing there really so don't bother.
Even though that is the low season, the walk was very refreshing. We loved the tunnel. The best part of the trip. Be courageous, step in the water, and follow the stream. Worth it.
We were lucky as we hired a moped and could get around, but many people were walking up the very steep hill. The spring is very miss leading as when you get to the restaurant, it says tunnel right, 7 springs left, there is not much going on left. It's a hard walk and climb to spring 1 then 2, of which in October when we were there were just wet patches on rocks. However if you go right to the tunnel, walk through, carry your socks and shoes. It's pitch black and small, but adds to the fun. It comes to a safe end. Then follow the signs to the waterfall. This is what the pictures are off. Have fun 👍.
A nice family experience, walking through the Italian tunnel. Even barefoot the walk was easy, the stone pavement is not slippery. And then, arriving to the small lake with beautiful nature. There, the trees protect you from the heat, so very pleasant walk. Worth the trip.
It sounds like we are going to see seven springs. We took the path to where the first spring was pinned but was just a path through the hot woods. But the walk through the tunnel and the lake are really worthy. No fee.
