We have just spent a week at Stamos Hotel and we had such an amazing time! Our holiday was originally booked for the hotel next door but due to a maintenance issue in our rooms, we were moved to Stamos Plus Hotel upon arrival. And we are so glad this happened! The staff are absolutely brilliant and with it being a family run hotel, they really care about all of their guests. We were all inclusive so ate Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner everyday. There was always a good variety of food and it was absolutely delicious. Our party of 6 enjoyed the food everyday and often were going back for seconds just to eat more! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the cocktails and other drinks included. On the days that we decided to chill around the pool, we always had sunbeds and the choices of pools meant there was enough room for all guests to enjoy! Our rooms were also brilliant, they were very clean and we had lots of room. The cleaning staff came in everyday and went above and beyond. We honestly had the most amazing holiday and cannot thank Stamos Plus enough for this. We are already planning on returning next summer! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
As far as 3* hotels go, this is a fantastic one. Blossom on reception was wonderful and helpful. She arranged transport for our boat trip and saved us some money. She was very very friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean. The pool and gardens were clean. The food and drink on all inclusive was great, although limited options for snacks if vegetarian. The food was a little repetitive and again this was slightly restrictive if vegetarian but still plenty you won't starve.
This hotel provided everything. We needed and more When we visited it was mainly filled with couples. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, especially Blossom on reception.
2.5 stars is what we as a group of four in our 30s have decided to give Stamos Plus. This place has gotten many great reviews which is why we chose this place as our stay while in Faliraki, but unfortunately, our experience doesn’t match the great reviews we’ve read.Of course it’s important to note that this is a three star hotel, so that is what we expected, but some parts still didn’t match those expectations. The hotel itself is a bit more rundown that images show. We had booked two family rooms and in one of the bathrooms, the floor drain is placed right where you’d place your feet when sitting on the toilet and the drain cover was broken upon arrival as it was clearly made of cheap plastic and some previous guests might have stepped on it. Which isn’t a surprise, as the drain gets covered when placing the bath mat, so such accidents are bound to happen. The balconies were nice and big and there was room for four people to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Very nice.We were only given a single key with card for each room and that caused a lot of issues for us as we were forced to do everything together. When wanting to do different things like taking a nap while the other wants to go out, it forces the person staying back to wake up when the other person returns or to take a nap without the AC on (which was unbearable due to the heat). I can only imagine the hassle if we were actually four people sharing a single key and card. There is no “do not disturb” sign to put on the door, which would be much appreciated as we didn’t need daily cleaning. We rented a safety box and these are quite small and you’re given a key instead of the possibility to lock it with a code, which we found very odd. There’s a small fridge in the room, which is great to keep water and snacks cold.Additionally, it would be good to have the hotel rules posted in each room as clearly some other guests decided to ignore those. Because the walls are thin, some loud guests are so clearly heard as if they’re in the room with you. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but perhaps having the rules posted in the rooms could have nudged these guests to be more mindful. The food was fine and there was something for everyone. Greek night definitely stood out as the night with the best dinner. We can’t comment much on the entertainment as we most nights didn’t stay downstairs for it. First night there was music quiz and that was fun.The bar was okay. Many of the drinks were very sweet (too much so for our tastes) and seemed almost to be without alcohol. This caused us to not use the bar much (as we had otherwise planned to do before arriving). It would almost be better to buy a bottle of alcohol to mix in with the drinks as well as more juice to thin out the sugary syrups. As for the pools, we only used the lounge pool and despite people reserving lounge chairs from early morning, we always managed to find some (but we also only used the pool during the early hours, so that might be why).Location is great as it’s a short walk to the restaurants are bars of Faliraki and also a short walk to the beach. It’s in a more quiet area, which was very suitable for us.All in all we had higher expectations of this place due to the great reviews and were subsequently disappointed with our experience. It was fine with some shortcomings.
My daughter is there now and had her room broken into last night. Whoever it was had a key as no forced entry, broke the lock off her case. Stolen money, clothes and jewellery. She said the hotel staff were rude and didn’t want to know. Be careful with your valuables. They are not the only couple this happened to.
