We have stayed in this place with my partner back in August. Hotel has its own unique appeal. What truly set it apart was the warm and accommodating manager Vasilis who went out of his way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The diligent cleaners maintained a tidy and comfortable environment throughout our stay, nothing to complain about there. We did have a slight issue with our AC but this was quickly resolved by the reception and maintenance team. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly small but stunning beach, just a stone's throw away. Crystal-clear waters and golden sands what more to ask for. One pleasant surprise was the hotel's buffet. Although not extravagant, it offered a pretty good selection of dishes that catered to various tastes. While it may not be a 5-star luxury resort, the Sunrise Hotel delivered on the essentials, leaving us with great memories. There is a bus right outside the hotel that will take you to Pefkos. Hotel has an ATM but be aware there is a charge you for withdrawals. All I all we had a great time and we would definitely return. Thanks for the lovely and relaxing stay!
Lovely place to stay. Great food which is available 7am til 11pm. Fantastic beaches for swimming, and pools for everyone. The rooms are a little ‘tired’, but nothing to get annoyed about. Very friendly staff. Just don’t use the car hire - a separate business, not run by the hotel - available in reception. Cheap but dangerous vehicles 😐
Great rooms, clean, nice view.Polite people and great service.Chef at the snack bar Rafa cooks very delicious food and is very friendly. And the boys at the pool bar are super friendly and polite!Every day they serve different kind of food, something for everybody. You will never be hungry☺️
"This hotel is NOT a 4-star, but rather realistically a 3 or 3.5-star hotel. Please note that it consists of 3 resorts (Primasol Sunrise, Serene Bay, Aquis Sunrise) located in the same place. I can only recommend this place if you are traveling with (small) children. The hotel is somewhat isolated between two towns, which makes it unrealistic to walk there due to the heat. However, there is a bus stop right outside the door, and the buses run to places like Pefkos and Lindos (approximately 40 minutes' drive) with air conditioning. Like many other all-inclusive hotels, it attracts many families with children.Upon arrival, guests are charged 3 EURO per day for a "local tax" (to be paid in cash, for reasons unknown). The hotel directs guests to their ATM, but beware, this ATM charges high fees and offers a poor exchange rate. The service at the hotel is decent. There are two pools, one for children and another for guests over 16 years old. However, the few sunbeds available at both pools are reserved early in the morning but not actually used (if at all) until many hours later, and the hotel does nothing about this issue. To rent 1 parasol and 2 sunbeds on the beach, it costs 10 Euro (including a drink voucher for the beach bar). The bar serves the cheapest Greek soft drinks/beer as part of the all-inclusive deal. The beach and water are nice, and we bought snorkeling gear and saw quite a few fish.Regarding the food:The buffet is extensive but often a bit dull; the food lacks flavor. However, there is an option to get (deep pan) pizza and pasta, which my children enjoyed. We stayed in an old block of the hotel, with a small room but a nice balcony. Everything seemed worn out, though. The apartment cleaning was deficient. Out of 4 out of 7 days, our room was cleaned; on the other days, the trash cans were emptied, and we had small ants on the floor despite staying on the 2nd floor. The Wi-Fi was good.Check-out was at 11 am (although the website stated 12 pm). My daughter was sick, so we asked if we could check out at 12 pm instead, but it was not possible as the hotel was "very busy" with cleaning (on a Tuesday!). When we left the hotel at 1 pm, the cleaning on our floor had not even started."
The staff here are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you want information about the area, island etc they will be happy to help. They are investing in upgrading all of the rooms. Even the older of the rooms are fine and have a balcony. Any issues that may arise are dealt with swiftly by the staff. There is plenty of food to choose from at meal times. So everyone should find something they like. Meal times are pretty generous so you shouldn't miss them. You are right on the beach and there is a nice size pool if swimming in the sea isn't your thing. The bar is next to the pool and there is plenty of seating available. It may initially seem a little far from everything but good price car hire is available at the hotel and in the summer season the buses stop outside the building every 30 minutes.I would happily come here again when next I visit Rhodes.
