A beautiful beach from where you can watch Turkish coast and some sunset (though it is better to walk to some more western points to see a better sunset view). The beach seemed to be clean in February and almost empty (some locals are swimming).
Awesome, wild and pretty free beach, at the tip of the island, doesn`t even seem it is near the town. Although it is very windy, as the name itself, it is good to just sit and enjoy the waves or sunbath. Worth visiting is passing by.
Northernmost point of the island. The beach lives up to its name- reasonably strong wind blowing constantly, truly a pleasure in hot weather. Also a source of fairly high and powerful waves, the sea can get pretty wild - decent swimmers only. Great spot to just take a walk or gaze upon sunset or sunup. Turkish coast is visible since it's not far.
We discovered this beach ten minutes walk from our hotel and a little away from the main drag. At the point you have the Agean Sea, to the right, the Mediterranean. In Rhodes you will see all the sunbeds outside the cafés, but no-one 'owns' the beach. At Windy Beach there are toilets (50 cents), free changing cubicles and an outdoor shower/hose, good for rinsing off as sand is gritty. We had sand shoes which made life easy. People had snorkels but I had ordinary swim goggles, the water is clear and you can see fish quite close to the shore.
Endless beach with absolutely stunning views of the rhodes channel with turkish mountains in the background.
